its so comforting to read about someone else fighting with the making of granny squares, you hace renewed my faith that one day i will figure out how to do them and make that blanket i dream of making!! thank you!

that looks like a nice little getaway! great postcards and great grannies!

The cards are incredible, can't wait to see the doll blanket, and the wedding site looks amazing. Wow!

That getaway sounds (and looks great) - well, except for that ferry line mishap. No, even the ferry mishap - just look at those squares! I was just down in Portland a few weeks ago and discovered all of those great shops on Alberta Street. Don't miss Close Knit - right next door to Bolt. It's a sweet yarn store and the gals are super friendly.

I am very nostalgic about northwest ferry rides. So unlike anything I grew up around, even if they are unpredictably crowded and long. So, you crochet too? I am dying to learn, I just haven't taken the plunge. You have inspired me, I have about 1 hour to myself this afternoon, I think I'll park myself at a local coffeeshop with a needle and some yarn. Speaking of which, I dropped the ball on our coffee date. Things are calming down (I hope), so let's look at the calendar and set a date. xo

looks kind of like friday harbor? we went there last year for our anniversary...we also had a 'ferry mishap' on the return! the ferry got a piece of wood sucked into the propeller and they had to put us on a much smaller ferry back to seattle. it was really cold and we were pretty packed it, but it was still a fun weekend! they crochet project looks very nice so far!
