Today I was out getting some drawer handles for the kitchen cabinets, & I went into Storables with the same idea that I always have when I wander in there: once inside, I will find the thing that revolutionizes my life. I can commit to the idea of excellent organizational accessories as well as anyone, but those types of stores are so overwhelming that I hardly ever seem to spot the wonderful ripe-for-clever-repurposing organization accessory that you see in magazines, you know what I'm talking about? Most of the time I wander back out without buying anything (because even when I do find the clever thing, it's usually awfully expensive). I did manage to pick up a soap dispenser, a selection of hooks, & a couple of useful plastic boxes (but not the canvas bins that I was considering & may well still go back for); when I was paying I had a funny conversation with the clerk about January being a very busy month for their store, what with everyone making clean sweep! organization! -type resolutions. She was gently wry about it in a way that I'm sure only an organizational-store employee could be.
(Those flowers are a Land of Nod score, I am picturing them in a jauntily lopsided papier mache vase.)
love those bright flowers. but i love those little clutching fists even more!
miss you. like crazy. happily we're in Nyons (sadly we leave tomorrow) and it's fantastically sunny and warm and beautiful. after several days of fantastically sunny and freezing and beautiful.

flowers are fabulous!
My husband refers to catalogs from places like "The Container Store" and "Storables" as my porn... :)
