It is a sad fact of my address that UPS doesn't show up until late in the day, usually no earlier than 4, sometimes as late as 6. Occasionally an early delivery surprises me, but mostly when I see "out for delivery" on the tracking website, I know I have a long day of not getting my packages ahead of me.
In the end, though (& by "end" I mean "6:30 pm," argh), it was as worth it as a box of art supplies in the mail ever is:
I was only going to order black & yellow (see below), but then I saw these excellent starter sets that include tiny pots of lots of colors, & which combine "tiny" with "lots of colors" & therefore involve not one but two of my favorite things. Even better, I also got a set of (even tinier!) empty pots for mixing more colors. Art supplies, I love you so!
Then! When you have a lot of projects lined up but you're thinking two projects ahead, you have a fruity pincushion to make, a yard of light blue fabric & newly arrived black & yellow ink, you might experiment with something like this:
It went pretty well for my first whack at two-color printing, though I didn't prep the lemon slice art quite as well as I should have for making a screen. But, still, look how lemony it is! With the two colors! That I printed!
I love the fabric print.
